Sources of Information

I have used information on the websites of various museums where Bourgeois has exhibited her work and have found the gallery catalogues give an interesting perspective on the work they are exhibiting.

Obviously Google, Wikipedia are always a reasonable source of information.

I found looking though actual physical books written about her and her art a helpful way to find information.

BOOKS ABOUT BOURGEOIS’ LIFE & WORK

PRIVATE GALLERY BIOS AND CATALOGUES

University and PUBLIC gallery sites

Looking at Dissertations and Thesis that are published on University websites gave me both broad background and also specific information. I found galleries that had learning resources about Bourgeois particularly helpful.

academic texts

I found scanning through academic texts about Bourgeois helpful. Her work and her life have been the subject of much writing and analysis. There are many published online and I downloaded a few free papers to help me to grasp a much fuller understanding of information relating to her exploration of trauma through her work.
