Task 4 Three Point Perspective + Plein Air drawings

I found this task really difficult! I have really struggled to draw within the grid and can see that I started off a bit too ambitiously. I have a form of dyslexia and dyspraxia consequently this was a real challenge for me.

I have tried at home to draw much more simple things and I feel I am starting to get the hang of it. I do understand theoretically why a grid helps with perspective and having spend a long time practising rather unsuccessfully, my brain finally clicked into gear and I drew a small, rectangular box, looking down on it. I also drew an angular side table at home.

LOOKING UP AT ALARM BOX OUTSIDE

I drew this looking up at the alarm box positioned high up under the roof on a house near me. I am happy with this because, as long as it’s simple, I really do understand this now.

I haven’t enjoyed this task as I have found it hard to get my brain around it and also because I quite like things that are persectively (if that’s a word?) incorrect!
